To mark this Remembrance Sunday, author Mike Walling has written a short poem

Keep the Faith

Keep the Faith whispers the dying soldier to her friends.

I’ll Keep the Faith murmurs a vet as his old buddy’s coffin is lowered into the grave.

We’ll Keep the Faith quietly reverberates through the ranks on a newly commissioned warship named for a fallen hero.

To Keep the Faith is a vow we make to our comrades that is passed down from one generation to the next.

To Keep the Faith comes with the territory when we raise our right hand and swear to “protect and defend” our nation.

Keeping the Faith binds us together. It’s an honor and a privilege we share with the families of those who have passed over.

Keeping the Faith is our heritage and legacy. It’s something veterans of all nations share.

So on this Remembrance Day please take a moment to think of those who have served and help us all Keep the Faith.
