February Book Vote and Last Month's Results

February's book vote focuses on our Combat Aircraft series, with five new titles vying for your vote. Have a read of our brief descriptions below and let us know which you'd like to see published, by voting in our poll.

The A-10 first saw action in the vast campaign against Saddam’s forces after they occupied Kuwait in 1990, the aeroplane proving one of the great success stories of Operation Desert Storm

One of the early German twin-engined medium bombers that played a key role in the Luftwaffe’s early successes, the Do 17, nicknamed the flying pencil due to its long, thin fuselage, was heavily committed to the invasion of Poland and the Low Countries and the Battle of Britain
 

RF-4B/C Phantom II Reconnaissance Units in Combat 

The principal tactical reconnaissance platform of the USAF and US Marine Corps in Vietnam, the RF-4B/C was developed from the legendary F-4 Phantom II. The final ‘recce Phantom IIs’ saw action in Operation Desert Storm in 1991, with three USAF units ranging all over Kuwait and deep into southern Iraq
 

Airco DH 4 Units of World War 1

The first British two-seater to have effective defensive armament, the DH 4 was widely used as a light bomber and general purpose two-seater by the Allies in World War 1. Almost 6300 examples were built, including more than 4800 by the Americas. The type saw extensive combat with the RFC/RAF (from March 1917) and the US Air Service on the Western Front
 

F-82 Twin Mustang Units of the Korean War

The futuristic Twin Mustang (effectively two P-51 fuselages joined by a shared wing) was heavily involved in the initial defence of South Korea during the early weeks of the invasion by the communist North in June-July 1950. It performed numerous roles during this period, including air superiority, interdiction, close air support, armed and weather reconnaissance

Now it's time to announce the results of January's book vote. January's vote was on some prospective Duel titles, but the winner with 23.4% of the vote is Israeil Missile Boat vs Syrian Missile Boat, close behind with 22.4% of the vote was Athenian Trireme vs Spartan Trireme.
