Graham is an outrageously gifted illustrator. Over the years he's provided us with top notch colour images of uniform plates and battle scenes for topics that span centuries and continents.

He is currently working on yet another set of images for an exciting new Osprey book, but having come to the realisation that he's achieved a momentous half-century of Osprey volumes, Graham wanted to do a bit of a retrospective. So on Monday, he began working through all of the titles he's contributed to, posting on Facebook  images of beautiful paintings all of which are available for purchase on his fabulous website, Studio 88.


Monday's image was from Campaign 44 Pavia 1525: The Climax of the Italian Wars.

'In the year that I reach my personal half-century, I realise that I have also illustrated over fifty books published by Osprey – a total of 263 paintings! I’ll confess to feeling rather shocked (and tired!) having calculated that total, but also a little proud to have achieved such a landmark. To mark this I intend to highlight one title per week, in the order they were commissioned, which will take a little over a year (total to date is actually 52 books, plus one in production and two more in my schedule for this year).

 These originals are priced considerably lower than I would usually charge because Osprey have already paid me a fee - a more affordable opportunity to acquire a unique piece of original art, and a painting that is well known - ‘immortalised’ in print.'
