Hot on the heels of the Future of RAID blog, here's a rundown of the New Vanguard books we've got coming out over the next year or so...

Publishing later this year, we have:
Even if I wasn't working on these books, I'd be very excited to get my hands on them! The Hind is one of my favourite military vehicles, and it's long overdue for inclusion in the New Vanguard series. The French tanks books is the really good type of study and analysis that one expects from Steven Zaloga, while the sheer size of the Nimitz carriers meant that we had to get somewhat creative with our usual design! It's a really detailed look at these mammoth vessels, and and great addition to the line. Last, but not least, Lawrence Burr's two-volume look at the US Navy's fast battleships is full of great technical and operational detail.

Moving into 2011, we've got a very solid line-up of 11 (yes, 11 - one more than normal) titles, with something for almost everyone:
  • NVG 175: US Submarines 1900-35 (Jan)
  • NVG 176: Imperial Japanese Navy Heavy Cruisers 1941-45 (Feb)
  • NVG 177: Humber Light Reconnaissance Car 1941-45 (Mar)
  • NVG 178: Mark V Tank (Apr)
  • NVG 179: Special Operations Patrol Vehicles: Afghanistan and Iraq (May)
  • NVG 180: Kamikaze: Japanese Special Attack Weapons 1944-45 (Jun)
  • NVG 181: Yangtze River Gunboats 1900-47 (Jun)
  • NVG 182: Italian Battleships 1940-45 (Aug)
  • NVG 183: Warships of the Anglo-Dutch Wars 1652-74 (Sept)
  • NVG 184: Vietnam Gun Trucks (Oct)
  • NVG ???: LAV-25 (Nov) - we don't even have a number allocated for this book yet!
I hope you like what's coming. Keep an eye out for more information and maybe a sneak peek or two further down the line...
