Michael Dobbs is a former Washington Post Foreign Correspondent and author of the critically acclaimed One Minute to Midnight, arguably the best book ever written on the Cuban Missile Crisis. He studied Russian at Harvard University and is a graduate of the University of Wales and York University both in the United Kingdom. He was a Foreign Correspondent and National reporter for the Washington Post between 1980 and 2008 as well as acting as a Senior Fellow of the US Institute of Peace from 2005–2006. He was a Visiting Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars for 9 months in 2010 and is currently the Marsh Visiting Professor at the University of Michigan.
