I greatly enjoyed the Battle of the Boyne CAM book I just ordered and it sparked a new interest in the subject. I would happily read a full Essential Histories title on the full 9 year's war. if not I at least hope sometime in the near future I could see a MAA or Essential Histories on the Williamite war. also a CAM book on the 1691 battle of Aughrim. the battle was far more costly and larger than the Boyne. comments and suggestions below please.

GW - Am glad that you liked "The Boyne". Have often pitched "Aughrim" to my editor at Osprey but like everything in life "patience" is a virtue, am certain that when the time is right his resistance will be broken down and it'll get commissioned. In the meantime, am able to work on other projects, my latest being "Ramillies" which will be out next year. In my opinion an ESS on the war would be feasible as we are talking about a three year time frame, but am unsure that an MAA would be feasible unless it was a single title to cover both armies. If you are interested in "Aughrim" and you google my name, you'll find reference to a work I did for a different publishing house in 2008. - Best Regards, Mike. |

Williamite? That sounds like something you spread on toast... Seriously, I'd be happy with more books on the period. Realistically most of the actions in Ireland are so small that it might be more useful to have books on the situation in Europe instead. |

I would certainly like the MAA on William's Army and another on that of the Jacobites. |
