Posted by: hobbe62 I'm looking forward to the April release Roman Legionary AD 69-161 (WAR166). The cover illustration by Sean O'Brogain is really quite spectacular.

Me too, it does look very cool. It seems to be legionary vs legionary, possibly in a cherry blossom orchard? Awesome stuff regardless, and puts me in the mood for legion-based mayhem - off to play Rome Total War!

It does look nice, but I'd wish they'd stop using plates for the cover images. We want to be surprised guys! Don't waste the plates on the cover! Sometimes the original cover image was better, case in point 10th Mountain Division, 4th Crusade, Fallen Timbers. Although US Paratrooper Pacific Theater ended up getting a better cover (love color WWII photos!)

This great illustration amost certainly depicts one of the Cremona/Bedriacum battles fought during the civil war of four emperors in 68 A.D.which were fought in such a terrain. I hope There will be also volume on Romes imperial auxiliary regiments in the future.

Roman Auxiliary is a big gap, and one that should be filled. There's quite a lot of material in there, as auxiliary units varied so much. I suspect that we will be seeing this title in the near future...

Totally agree with you andyana, I love to see a roman auxiliar title soon, it´s an unforgivable gap in osprey ancient world series
