Posted by: andresrojas22 i was wondering if a campaign title of the roman battles with the Hellenistic states is being take in consideration. The battles of Cynoscephalae, Magnesia and Pydna the most famous among the others.

i'm not sure the combat series is really what you want here though, but from what i understand, combat (like duel?) will pitch two individual warriors against each others. what you apparently want here, is pitching two formations against each others, which would be the realm of the 'tactics' (elite) series. correct me if i'm wrong.

Those battles are a bit overlooked, which is quite strange since legion vs phalanx is one of the all-time classic tactical matchups. Definitely a good fit for the Duel series.

I also propose a Legion vs Phalanx Book for Duel, Macedonian and Pyrrhic Wars for Campaign and Roman Legions vs Phalanx for Warrior series. As you say, we┬┤ll have a warrior legionary vs german 1th century, the door is opened, maybe soon it could be followed by a legios vs phalanx. I think that Heraclea, Asculum, Beneventum, Cynoscephalea, Thermopylae, Magnesia, Pydna, deserve a campaign book, maybe Phyrrhic Wars and Macedonian Wars. It would be great.

We've got Roman Legionary vs Germanic warrior on the way, so Ancient title are definitely being considered. I reckon we'll see one on the Phalanx for sure, and maybe even Immortal vs Hoplite if we're lucky!

What is more, the pike/legion clashes of the Pyrrhic War provide a good contrast to the later clashes, in that here the pikes are victorious over the legions.

There should definitely be some pike/legion campaign titles. Not just the clashes of the 2nd Century BC, but there should really be a campaign book for Pyrrhus. Here we have the first clashes of legion and phalanx.
