I have thought about Murmansk, but frankly it's a campaign that bogged down pretty quickly and the troops spent two years freezing their butts off for no gain. There are some places humans weren't meant to fight and above the Polar Circle is one of them. It's possible, but this would be low on my list.

If you want Eastern Front drama, I can spell it for you: V-E-L-I-K-I-Y-E_L-U-K-I. Now that's a battle! Honorable mention to Hube's Pocket (1944).

I don't expect my writing will venture north of Rzhev for the forseeable future, but Rzhev 1942 will eventually be on my list.

While writing Case Red, I can see that there really hasn't been a full-blown account of the Battle of Arras, which is odd. There should be one.

Ching! That's the sound of my money landing in Ospreys coffers when Dr Forczyk completes a book on Hube's Pocket.

Hi folks,

I made a pitch for this same topic back in April last year;

Check it out and see what people said about it back then.

Interesting, I had also suggested this as a CAM issue last summer. Nice to see that the CBT issue (Gebirgs vs Soviet Sailor) is a start.
