  Topic Description
Posted by: MTG Id like to suugest a general Osprey text or a series of texts divided into chronological eras (if deemed viable), which covers the history and development of military surgery from the ancient era to modern. Ideally the book(s) would include colour plates (illustrations) as in the Warrior or Men at Arms series. Are 'military medics' already covered in any depth within any current series/books. If so I would welcome any recomendations (titles, series and number) in posts below. Cheers.

There is one general military book on American combat medics: "Battlefield Angels: Saving Lives Under Enemy Fire From Valley Forge to Afghanistan".
