Posted by: scratchbuilder I had hoped that MAA Macedonian Armies After Alexander' would be the first in a series about the Successor Kingdoms, with their admixture of classic Macedonian troops and unique local troop types. The Ptolomides of Egypt would be a good place to start. Comments and suggestions please.

The Selucids would be my choice for a MAA title though I would definitely also buy one on the Ptolemaic army. I would also like to see one on Phyrrus' army & have suggested an Essential History on the Wars or the Diadochi

Crested Owl: Yes, I too would like a Vanguard on late Hellenic galleys. Some of them were enormous. Ptolomy IVs state barge (useless as a warship) was reported to need fifteen hundred oarsmen, five hundred sailors and a thousand marines. Even allowing for classical exageration she must have been a very big ship.
