  Topic Description
Posted by: .George Washington I would like to suggest another 17th century Indian title I want Osprey to do: King Philip's war 1675-1676. It was the deadliest war in US history by casualties from total population, as the US Civil War had more deaths. There have been some good books done on this and it received fair coverage in the MAA Indian tribes of the New England Frontier. It had fascinating figures involved like King Philip and Benjamin Church, and interesting battles/raids like Deerfield, the Great Swamp Fight, Bloody Brook, Turner's Falls, and Wheeler's Surprise. What makes it even more interesting is the fathers of these men were at the First Thanksgiving, King Philip was killed by fellow English allied Indian, and the Wampanoag tribe had no powwow until 1929. This would make a excellent CAM title for Osprey in the 17th century as they have not done an Indian one yet. Do you find this interesting?
