Heads up everybody, (especilly KenA), it looks like we may be getting a book on Operation Jericho. Look in the "tweets" section of the forum front page where Robert Lyman is talking about drawing the maps.

I don't suppose this will be published until late 2022 at the earliest, but it's still ewxcellent news.

Excellent news indead painty.

I wonder what series it will be in? I initially thought raid would be the obvious choice but looking at the maps I now think it'll be air campaign.

Absolutely delighted about this news.  I assume this will be a CAM or ACM.  I’ll have to take more notice of the tweets in future.  Many thanks for pointing this out Painty.

Just an afterthought - perhaps this title deserves a sequel, such as a CAM or ACM title covering the two Mosquito ‘precision’ bombing raids of Gestapo HQs at Aarhus 1944 and Copenhagen 1945.

My first guess was that this would be a raid just covering "Jericho", but if it is an Air Campaign then it could be expanded to cover all the Mosquito prison raids.

Looking forward to hearing more about this.

The reason that I thought the Jericho book would be a CAM or ACM book was because the author, Robert Lyman, mentioned developing his drawing skills (presumably for maps) as he ‘dissect(ed) each stage of the MI6-requested operation’.  Also shown in the tweet were a couple of maps.  This, I thought was more likely to be for a CAM or ACM book than a Raid title.

Incidentally, Robert Lyman is the author of “The Jail Busters: The Secret Story of MI6, the French Resistance & Operation Jericho” (2014).  Hence the Osprey title is probably going to be a condensed version of his earlier book.

I agree KenA, I think it's most likely a ACM. Sounds good.  Hopefully get more info in the sumer reveals.  Hopefully not too long to wait.
