Posted by: SMc In light of reading about Nazi Germanys fabled V1 & V2 Rocket Programme, is it worth Osprey or are people interested in a Men at Arms or Elite Book on the Uniforms and Insignia of (I assume the Luftwaffe) of the personnel who pioneered and were involved in the Rocket Programme etcSimon

I'd be Interested. Perhaps an "Elite" title covering the whole German rocketry programme? If "Raid" didn't appear to be in retirement I'd ask for a volume on the Penemunde Air Raid.

I like the idea too chaps! I think Painty is right about the series though. For me ELITE would be a better fit, something like "German Rocket Units: Tactics & Equipment 1944-45". This title could then deal with uniforms, vehicles and ordinance as well as looking at the use of the weapons. Painty - I'd love to see a RAID covering Peenemunde but my only concern would be is there enough for a stand alone RAID title on just the one operation??? How about one covering "RAF V-Weapons Raids 1943-45"? This could then cover a selection (obviously including the aforementioned) of the most significant raids rather than just the one. Or even better, and stop me if I'm getting carried away here guys, how about a CAM entitled "The V-Weapons Offensive 1943-45"??? This title could look at the whole campaign from the German development through to their deployment against Britain, the allied response but defensively and offensively and then finally the German targeting of Continental targets and the final defeat of their rocket program??? What are your thoughts there chaps???

That's a lot of ideas you've thrown out AdamC. I like the idea of a campaign title on the V-weapons operations, but I think trying to cover both the German offensive and Allied counter measures may be trying to cram too much into one book. I would suggest starting with a book on "Operation Crossbow" and seeing how well that sells.
