Now that Fidel has departed the scene how about a MAA or Elite Unit volume on the Cuban Army from 1960 to Present Day covering the various campaigns in Africa and other postings worldwide and actions such as the Cubans in Grenada.

There are a few unique Cuban pieces of equipment - they do some weird SPAAG.

Hopefully Cuba will have more freedom in the foreseeable future to allow an Osprey author to write an accurate account of the Cuban military.

Hi kuvaszsleepybear,

I've passed your ideas for this book on the modern Cuban Army to the Men-at-Arms and Elite series editor and who knows, maybe it will find its way into print some day. In the meantime, he has suggested that you may be interested in ELI 166: The Bay of Pigs, and also MAA 221 Central American Wars 1959–89 which has a whole chapter on Cuba.
