I see that November will see the publication of Campaign No.330 "Battle of Tsushima 1905" by Mark Lardas.

I confess to personal disappointment that this campaign is being covered instead of say, Mukden, when there is a Duel title that already does a good job of describing this battle.

I was also a little surprised to read, at the end of the description that accompanies book in the 3-month previews that: "...the Japanese victory over Russia led to the development of the Dreadnaught Battleship..." Surely that cannot be right? The eponymous HMS Dreadnaught was designed in the early months of 1905. (In response to US designs that were reaching towards an "all big gun" ship) and laid down in October of that year. The Battle of Tsushima takes place on 27th. May 1905, so the outcome of the battle is really too late to be a contributing factor to this type of ship design.

I realise this is only a one-paragraph publishers "blurb", but I do hope it is not indicative of the whole book.
