  Topic Description
Posted by: Ardashir51 I'd like to know if there have ever been any plans on Osprey's end to do a MAA, or even an Elite or Warrior book, covering the Stradiots, the mercenary light cavalry from the Balkans. They seem to have been all over the wars of Renaissance and 16th century Europe, but all they've ever gotten are passing references and a few pieces of art in various Osprey books. I doubt I'd be the only person who would buy a book going into detail about them.

Good idea. There's not a lot of coverage on Eastern European warfare during the Renaissance. There was constant conflict in the Aegean, for example.

I`m buying it, too. I wonder how helpful the source material on Stradioti Soldiers is .. there are rarely mentioned except for the battle of Fornovo where they played a crucial role.
