Just received my copy of Combat 330, 'Tsushima 1905'.

Very impressed!

Especially with the coverage of the other naval actions apart from the main battle, these are not at all well known, and show that the Russian Pacific Fleet did carry out some agggressive actions.

Congratulations to Mark Lardas for this excellent work!

But, two comments.

On un-mumbered  but page 2, he says that Port Arthur was so named by the Russians.

Not so, the name dates back to 1860, and was given to this harbour by R.N. Captain William Arthur, commanding officer of HMS Wolverine, during the Opium War.

The Russians retained the name , rendering it in Cyrilic, the translation of which into English gives Port Artur, Port Artura or Port Arfur
Also, mention is made further on of the 'Southern Manchuria Railway' this is the 'South Manchuria Railway', English translation of the Japanese characters:' Minami Manshu Tetsudo', short form 'Nan Man Tetsu'.

Hi, I've got this book and was very impressed. Mr Lardas has done it again! The artwork is also very good.
