Osprey will be working from home from Tuesday 17th March. We plan to continue all our operations, while reducing risk of infection by having staff work from home. Please note that we are doing our best to manage incoming post and parcels. For the time being please refrain from sending items to our offices and please assume that items that you have sent to us, have not arrived with their intended recipient. Our priority remains the wellbeing of staff, authors, customers, freelancers, suppliers and distributors. We would like to thank all for their support whilst we transition to virtual operations.

Posted by: Hamilcar Hello all, I have noticed that ancient titles tend to lose out to other periods in the polls. For example, I recall that in the last poll Zama and Gaugamela, both incredibly important battles, found themselves to be the least popular. Similarly, hoplites vs immortals is not doing particularly well. While I recognise that fans of the ancient titles are not as numerous as modern fans, I just hope that osprey notes that ancient fans still make up a significant portion of their customers.

Yes, there has to be a pecking order and something has to be at the bottom.

I completely agree with Hamilcar There does appear to be a lack of strong support for Ancient titles I have often posted in the suggestion box on the main page asking for a book on the Battle of the Colline Gate in Rome which was the final struggle between Gias Marius and Sulla Overall ti would be nice to see a couple of more ancient titles more often than losing to more Modern Periods
