Hi folks,

Been reading Ospreys for years but just joined the website, so apologies if some of these ideas have already been discussed. I've seen people suggesting book titles on the forum, so I was just wondering if any of these titles might have much interest with Osprey and the community?

MAA - Tibetan Armed Forces 1912-1950

The Tibetan Army between the Xinhai Revolution to the Chinese PLA invasion was an interesting one in my opinion; a mix of medieval and modern, and I thought it might be interesting to have an MAA title on the uniforms, equipment, and service history of these forces during the brief period of Tibetan autonomy in the 20th century. Fortunately there seem to be quite a lot of photos of Tibet from this period, thanks in part to western travellers in the region during the imperial and interwar era.

ELITE - Haida Maritime Raiders

I've seen Osprey do titles on Native-American groups before, so I thought I'd suggest this one. During the late 18th to early 19th centuries, the Haida were among the most feared naval raiders on the west coast of North-America, taking to the seas in war canoes that could reach 60 feet in length and even attacking and capturing western sailing vessels. To my knowledge they were one of (if not the) only tribal group in North America to make use of naval artillery (such as canoe-mounted swivel guns and captured cannons for shore defence). I thought an ELITE title which looked at their tactics, equipment, and vessels would be interesting.

WPN - Nambu Light-Machineguns: Type 11, Type 96, and Type 99

From the Type 11's odd hopper-feed design, to the Type 99 being one of the few (if not the only) lmgs of the period to be fitted for optics, I think it would make a good read. We've seen a recent title on Arisaka rifles, so it seems Osprey is not averse to doing WPN titles on Japanese firearms, which is nice.

Thanks for reading my post.

Would like a "Haida" book, they used to raid all the way down the West Coast to what is now California.Unfortunately Hollywood never discovered them or they would be as well known as Apaches,Comanches,Sioux,Mohawks,Iroquois, etc.
