Nearing the end of the first round of the Imperium: Horizons Head-To-Head, here's one more new civilisation and one more poll...
Welcome to the Imperium: Horizons Head-To-Head. Over the next week we'll be announcing the game's remaining eight all-new civilisations. Each day there'll be another civilisation reveal alongside a sneak peek at some of their incredible art by Mihajlo "The Mico" Dimitrievski. That civilisation will be paired up against one of the civilisations we revealed when first announcing Horizons last year: Taino, Inuit, Aksumites, Mayans, Tang & Sassanids.
Then YOU get to vote on which civilisation in each match-up you think would win against the other, and the winners will continue into quarter-finals, semi-finals, finals - until finally the reigning champion of Imperium: Horizons is decided by you.
The Sassanids, the Polynesians, the Abbasids, the Mayans and the Aksumites have all won their place in the second round.
And today we're announcing The Japanese and pairing them off against The Taino...
CAST YOUR VOTE
********************************
THE JAPANESE
Covering the Asuka and Nara periods of ancient Japan (538 CE - 794 CE), this deck encourages you
to find balance, both within and without. Can you work the competing philosophies of Shinto and Tendai Buddhism side by side, or will you be forced to alternate? Will Prince Shotoku Taishi
bring innovation or get bogged down in religious politics?
********************************
THE TAINO
The indigenous people inhabiting the Caribbean since pre-Columbian times are
highly skilled farmers: you will focus on obtaining regions and then getting the most from them
with cards like Soil Rotations and Sol de Jayuya. You are unlikely to ever be short of resources
as the Taino prosper off these lush islands, but to lead them to victory you’ll have to master
the skill of distributing your resources amongst the cards in your tableau.
