Hear from author Alan Bahr about what's been added in the Faith & Fear supplement for our knights templar roleplaying game, Heirs to Heresy...

Heirs to Heresy is one of my favourite books that I've ever developed, and I'm chuffed beyond belief that I got to come back and add more to the game with Faith & Fear. It’s a relatively small volume, but it’s packed full of goodies, new options, and plot-hooks, punching well above its page count! Some of the content can be considered “Director’s Commentary”, featuring rules that, while fun, distracted from the focus of the core book and so didn’t make it into the original volume.

Spy networks, strongholds, and safe-houses, as well as additional military order options are all here for the players to use to greatly expand the game. Acts of Faith and Acts of Fear appear, serving as exploits that can be leveraged by characters that meet certain requirements! These are pretty cool, filling the role of powerful tools that allow a character to have an outsized impact on a particular challenge or threat.

Grandmasters will have new artefacts and relics around which to structure their campaigns, new enemies to throw at their players, and several new adventure seeds/one-page adventures that they can flesh out and use to form interludes or the base structures of campaigns! And, as always, the team at Osprey has packed the book full of some of the prettiest historical-fantasy art you've seen. Seriously, stunning images throughout. I’m excited to see what folks do with the new options here and I can’t wait for you to get it in your hands!

Faith & Fear is out now in the UK and 23rd January in the US.
