Today marks the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day and the final collapse of the Nazi regime. Across Europe and the wider world, people are paying their respects to those who sacrificed so much in the fight to liberate the continent and defeat Fascism.

As wargamers, one way we can commemorate occasions such as this is through our hobby. We can explore the history of the period as we build our armies, from the campaigns that were fought to the stories of individual soldiers. On the tabletop, we can recreate battles that shaped the course of history, and try to get a sense of what those who took part may have experienced.
