Now I don't know about you, but I'm pretty excited about the release of Richard Brooks' 'The Knight Who Saved England' in April. It is a book that mixes a fascinating, gripping narrative with historically important subject matter that I previously knew next to nothing about!

Until the time comes when I can get my hands on a copy, thereby kissing my evenings and weekends goodbye for a duration, I will be whetting my appetite by tuning in to BBC 2 at 21:00 GMT tomorrow night.

Thomas Asbridge is widely respected in the field of Crusader history and his BBC documentary on William the Marshal should just about keep us going until 'The Knight who Saved England' is published in April. Like our book, the BBC prograWme will focus on the life and career of this famous knight and will be a perfect warm up to reading about him!

But it might be that you just can't wait until April. In that case, now is probably a good time to mention that the book, as well as being available for pre-order, is actually already available as an eBook and on Kindle if you want to read it now!
