This month sees the release of Combat 6 Roman Soldier vs Germanic Warrior: 1st Century AD. This marks something of a milestone in the series as when the series was initially being developed we were not sure that we would be able to cover ancient subjects in the detail that we would be able to achieve with modern subjects. In fact, in the first series launch proposal that was circulated internally there was actually a cautionary note suggesting that it may be impossible to include ancient or medieval subjects in the series at all.

Then the results from the survey we ran asking you what you wanted from the series started to come in - and it was clear that many of you were desperate for us to cover ancient and medieval subjects, so Nick, the series editor investigated further and we juggled around our planned launch titles to include an ancient title in our launch batch of Combat books. The result was Combat 6 Roman Soldier vs Germanic Warrior.
