First off, before I reveal a couple more fantastic special guest appearances for our open day this Saturday, a quick note for anyone who is planning on heading down to the Colours wargaming show in Newbury that weekend. Over the last couple of days we have received a number of emails asking us if it is at all possible to open our doors slightly earlier, so that anyone making the trek down to Newbury can also pop into the Osprey offices to pick up a couple of bargains.

As our offices are just off the A34 and very handily placed for a quick stop over for anyone driving south towards Newbury it really does make a great deal of sense to pop in on your way down to Colours, and accordingly we have moved our opening time to 9am on Saturday morning - giving you enough time to pop into our office and still get down to Colours in time for their 10am Saturday start time.

So, to sum up - our open-day sales extravaganza will be open from 9am - 4pm.

Now, to more exciting news about guest appearances!

The fabulous Prit Buttar, author of the phenomenally successful Battleground Prussia: The Assault on Germany's Eastern Front 1944-45 and Between Giants: The Battle for the Baltics in World War II will be spending time signing copies of both his books and chatting to customers about his books, and quite possibly providing some sneak previews of his top secret new Osprey project.

In addition to that, our very own Joseph McCullough will be manning the fort all Saturday. The one-time blogmaster Joe is now the head of our Osprey Adventures imprint... and is an Osprey author in his own right having brought us the Civil War Quizbook as well as two titles in his own imprint, Zombies: A Hunter's Guide and Myth 2 Dragonslayers: From Beowulf to St. George. Joe will be available to sign copies of Dragonslayers and the deluxe special edition of Zombies all day, as well as answering any questions you have about the Osprey Adventures imprint.

And if you would like to see Joe in action... check out this tongue in cheek video we put together with him to promote the original version of the Zombies book!
