One of the really exciting things about working at Osprey is seeing a book come together, and watching it grow from a great idea into an even better book. We thought it was a bit mean to keep all of this wonderful process to ourselves, so we're giving you a behind the scenes look at the creation of the artwork for our new book Great Lakes Warships. These are preparatory sketches made by the illustrator Paul Wright, later rendered in full colour in the published volume. So, enjoy this sneak peek into the world of Osprey!

These sketches are taken from our New Vanguard Great Lakes Warships 1812-1815, which is currently 25% off as part of our May New Vanguard discount.
