In just a matter of days the newest Osprey series will be launching. Around the world, copies of Air Vanguard are arriving in warehouses and will be appearing on bookshelves throughout the month. With their rather spiffing fold-out back cover which allows the cutaway to be displayed in its full glory we are really quite pleased with them. But we have not just been sitting on our laurels waiting for the first books to arrive - instead we have been busily commissioning some new titles for 2013, and here they are!

AVG 4 Martin B-26 Marauder (Aug 2013)

AVG 5 Albatros D.I–D.II (Jan 2013)

AVG 6 Hawker Hurrican Mk I-V (Feb 2013)

AVG 6 USAF McDonnell–Douglas F-4 Phantom II (Apr 2013)

AVG 8 Curtiss P-40 – Long-nosed Tomahawks (May 2013)

AVG 9 Sukhoi Su-25 Frogfoot (Sep 2013)

AVG ??? General Dynamics F-111 Aardvark (Oct 2013)

AVG ??? Curtiss P-40 - Snub-nosed Kittyhawks and Warhawks (Nov 2013)

A few of you sharp eyed readers out there might notice a teeny-tiny change to our original publication schedule. Originally AVG 4 was intended to be a book about the Messerschmitt Me 262 - but has now been replaced by the B-26. This was because of some problems putting together the Me 262 title. It is still on our list of must-do titles, and I know we are looking for an author to write the book right now. So if you happen to be the world-leading expert on the 262, do let us know!

And if you haven't already, why not pre-order copies of the first three AVG titles:

AVG 1 Allison-Engined P-51 Mustang

AVG 2 Republic F-105 Thunderchief

AVG 3 Sopwith Camel
