There are two sides to every story, and rarely are those sides more clearly defined than in war. Most of the time, Osprey tends to focus on one side, or one warrior, at a time, with the notable exception of our Duel series. However, if you look carefully at a specific pair of Warrior books, you might just catch a view from both sides.

The two books in question are WAR 98: US Army Infantryman in Vietnam 1965-73 and WAR 116: Viet Cong Fighter. Both books are written by Gordon L Rottman, and even though he worked with two different artist, he managed to create a picture that spans both books.

The first painting was done by Kevin Lyles.
