In case you haven't heard, there's a new event coming to Williamsburg - the Military History Weekend, sponsored by Osprey, W. Britains and Casemate. The event, October 16-18, will be held at the Hospitality House in Williamsburg, VA, and will feature three days of military vehicles, re-enactments, vendors, museum tours, lectures and book signing, as well as model and painting events, plus $2000+ in door prizes. Military enthusiasts rejoice, because this is the weekend for you - we've even considered the family, with events planned for spouses and kids.
Our most recent addition to the list of events is Col Ed Shames, member of the 101st Airborne and the Band of Brothers, and author of the foreword to Tonight We Die As Men. Col Shames will be signing copies of the book, which will be on sale at the event, and attending the banquet on Saturday night.
More information to follow as the event unfolds. In the meantime, check out the weekend's website, clear your calendars and make your reservations!
