Zaloga does an excellent job of recounting not only how the battle progressed, but why it played out as it did. He spends considerable space analyzing the depleted state of the German Army at the end of 1944, and how political-infighting within the Reich further undermined the capabilities it still had ... This is an excellent and concise study on a little known yet important campaign. Find room for it on your shelf.
