The PzKpfw V Panther is considered to be one of the finest tanks of World War II due to its combination of mobility, firepower and armour. Developed as a response to the Soviet deployment of heavy armour on the Eastern Front, and later to serve in Normandy and Northwest Europe, the Panther established its reputation as one of the first truly universal tanks and its influence can be seen in the design of modern battle tanks to this day. This book details how to model the main variants of this fascinating and significant World War II tank, and it provides a listing the main kits and aftermarket sets available.

This book is one of those. Its title says it all 'Modelling the Panther Tank.' I picked this book up with a great deal of skepticism. I put it down with a new found respect and openness. Read on and see why.
Scott Lodder, Armorama (June 2006)
Another excellent addition to the increasing list of volumes in this Osprey series, this book is a very helpful guide for those building a Panther. Although it only deals with the Panther, most building techniques can be used for other subjects, and the painting and weathering techniques are universally applicable. This is a book that would be a valuable addition to every German AFV modeller...an inspiration for all. Highly recommended.
Henk Meerdink, Armorama (May 2006)
