Dr David Suttonis a historian in the Military History Section at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, Australia. He specializes in World War II, in particular the early stages of the Nazi–Soviet War, and Australian actions in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. His doctoral thesis focused on operations Barbarossa and Typhoon, in particular, Hitler’s drive towards Moscow in 1941.
