About this Product

From the vast production lines at the Boeing, Douglas and Lockheed Vega plants, to the war torn skies over Germany and the Pacific islands, the B-17 is seen it all its metalic glory. An eight page colour section provides a unique slice of period colour colour through the reproduction of the company advertisements that have not been seen in print since the war.

Biographical Note

Michael O'Leary possesses one of the most extensive private archival libraries of wartime images relating to American combat aircraft, and has written/photographed over a dozen books for Osprey. Mike Badrocke is one of Osprey's most highly respected and accomplished illustrators, notably in the field of precision 'cutaway' artwork, as exemplified in this volume. He has over the years produced quality artwork for numerous books, magazines and industry publications throughout the world, not only in the field of militaria, but also in the intricate and technically demanding sphere of aviation publishing.
