Sunday Photo - Infamy Speech

In Military History

On this day in 1941, the Infamy Speech was delivered at 12:30pm by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, one day after Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor.

Within an hour of the speech being given, Congress passed a formal declaration of war against Japan and officially brought the U.S. into World War II.
