Osprey's Big Reveal 2016 - Weapon

In Military History, Featured

2016 will see nine books from the Weapon series heading your way, ranging from Roman shortswords to modern assault rifles. Seems like the perfect time to fill up your bookshelf/arsenal.

WPN 44: The Flintlock Musket (January 2016)

WPN 45: The Barrett Rifle (March 2016)

WPN 47: German Machine Guns of World War I (May 2016)

WPN 46: The M3 “Grease Gun” (May 2016)

WPN 48: The Medieval Longsword (August 2016)

WPN 43: The Composite Bow (August 2016)

WPN ???: SA80 Assault Rifles (September 2016)

WPN ???: The Mosin-Nagant Rifle (October 2016)

WPN ???: The Gladius (November 2016)

Still no sign of the Peasant’s Pitchfork in the Weapon series – I’ll keep on pushing for that one. More reveals coming up!

A great list there chaps! Excellent spread of titles. You can put me down for 44, 48 and the SA80 title. Great to see a nice variation of periods and a mix if firearms and hand-to-hand weapons. Bring on the next list!!!

First of all I am glad to see a full nine new titles next year. SA80 is great news for me as well. Barrett, Grease Gun and Mosin-Nagant also! I will skip German MG's and the older subjects but a good year all in all. I had high hopes for the G3 though. Please please let it be on the 2017 list... And where are those damn handguns and the FN MAG?

I like nearly all of these. Flintlock musket and the Mosin-Nagant are very welcome. And I think the SA80 is likely to be the best book ever. (Yes, severe personal bias at work here.)
